When we understand and respect the limitations and quirks of individual body types, we can diagnose accordingly. We will borrow from Desikachar’s use of langhana (expansive) and brahmana (internalising) practices to design sequences around two common types.
Applied anatomy of the spine presented in a relevant and easy to understand way. This session includes guidelines to sequencing for common back complaints; how to safely rebuild support and strength in the spine, and an introduction to assessing energetic and physical ‘blocks’.
Examining the responses of the nervous system to daily stress build-up, we will learn techniques for ‘switching down’ the nervous system to create clear mental, emotional and physical states. Restorative yoga beyond lying on a bolster!

A devotee of Sri HWL Poonja (in the lineage of Ramana Maharshi), Neera seeks to bring the focus on Self and presence that is at the heart of Jnana Yoga. Neera is currently director of Teacher Training at Soluna Yoga in Geneva and presents workshops and retreats throughout Europe.
